#11 Keys For Effective Temple Leadership: Values & Tools For Inreach, Outreach & Administration
Srila Prabhupada instituted temples and communities as the basic building blocks of ISKCON movement. The leadership of a temple or a community has paramount responsibility to create a closely-knit fabric of devotees, a well-oiled machinery of administration and a widely-spread tree of outreach. A lot of these dynamics depend the choices, communication and conduct of leadership. In this seminar, we will shall try to explore certain values and tools for effective inreach, outreach and administration.
Gauranga Dasa is a B.Tech graduate of IIT Bombay and has been serving at ISKCON Chowpatty since 1993. Currently he is serving as a Presidential Board Member of ISKCON Chowpatty and Govardhan Ecovillage, an award-winning farm community. He is also serving in various capacities at a national and global scale in ISKCON such as a Global Duty Officer for the GBC, trustee of the GBC College, member of the GBC OrgDev and Nominations Committees, Divisional Director of Devotee Care and Temple Development, Systems & Administration departments of the GBC strategic planning committee, member of the Sastric Advisory Council, member of the ISKCON India Advisory Committee and several others. He is also the Director of the Bhaktivedanta Vidyapitha, a school offering a two-year full time study program of the Srimad Bhagavatam and Caitanya Caritamrita in seven cities across India. He is also serving as a Trustee and Administrative Director for the Bhaktivedanta Research Centre (BRC), Kolkata.
