#20 Negotiating Uncertainties In Leadership Situations With Resilience And Restraint
Change and uncertainty are constant features of the leadership landscape. Where there is no uncertainty, there is no longer much need for leadership as things can go on in an auto-pilot mode. The greater the uncertainty in a situation, the greater the need for leadership to invoke clarity and inspiration for the team to navigate the situation. Doubts, fear and anxiety are caused not as much by outer uncertainty as by inner instability. When things are constantly changing around us, it is of paramount importance for the leadership to take shelter and inspire their team members to take shelter of things which don’t change. Dealing with uncertainty requires scientific exploration, artistic navigation and prayerful meditation. In this seminar we shall take a look at some of the principles and practices which can help the leadership in dealing with uncertainties with resilience and restraint.
