#59 The Maturing of ISKCON: How a First Class Spiritual Organization Handles Conflict and Differences
How do you judge the “culture” of a Society? By how we treat each other. This presentation will provide attendees with a history of how ISKCON has dealt with conflicts in the past and a vision for how we should deal with them going forward. Attendees will also learn fool-proof techniques on how to handle conflicts in their own lives, and with others with whom they serve.
Vraja Vihari Dasa joined ISKCON in 1976. After 12 years of service on sankirtan. He moved to Vrindavan where he served as the Director of the Vrindavan Institute for Higher Education. In 2002 he created “ISKCON Resolve” a global service for devotees dealing with conflicts. He holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and has served as a consultant to the Supreme Court of India. He presently lives in Washington DC with his wife and son teaching Bhakti Vaibhava and working for the Federal Government. He is a disciple of Bhurijana Prabhu.
