#7 Spreading Krsna-bhakti In The Modern World – A Marketing Tool

What does marketing have to do with spiritual life? Are we selling something? As the scriptures teach us, that which determines the material or spiritual quality of anything, is the result of its use or application, so the use of marketing techniques, although apparently incompatible with Krishna consciousness, can increase an extremely useful cultural status. Marketing comes from the English word “market” and signifies the launching of a new product on the market. The marketing revolution occurred when attention was moved from the product to the consumer and his/her needs and from sales to profit. If we translate this simple concept and the successive ones into something useful for devotees we realize how useful they can be for us; putting people at the center of our attention and concentrating on revealing the aspects of Krishna consciousness that are closest to their needs.
