#9 Prabhupada’s Seven Purposes Of ISKCON
This seminar presents the historical background and rationale for the Incorporation of ISKCON with a focus on Srila Prabhupada’s Seven Purposes which form the cornerstone of that document. It is critical for leaders to understand how Srila Prabhupada’s intent and direction for his preaching movement are reflected in these Seven Purposes. The seminar will explore each purpose and see how each one presents part of ISKCON’s foundation. We will also explore how to fulfill these purposes. An analysis of the principles reveals how Prabhupada envisioned a society organized along two related and equally important dimensions, 1) outreach to the greater society and 2) creating a spiritual society to care for the spiritual needs of its members.
